Chris Armstrong’s Macaws | Florida

I have a soft spot in my heart for macaws. About three years ago I stumbled across some videos that showed pet macaws flying free in the desert skies. I was hooked. I wanted a large, beautiful, colorful bird that I could teach how to fly free and return safely to me. I purchased my macaw Soya soon after that.

During our free flight journey, I met Chris Armstrong via Facebook. He was so kind and taught me some training techniques. I knew he had a huge flock and I was curious to learn more. He invited me over while I was in Florida to meet his birds and see how he trained. Here are some of the photos from that experience!
